Will it be streamed anywhere?
Yes this is the first preseason game of the season and yes this isn't a NBA team, but Montepaschi Siena is the team of Spurs draft pick Viktor Sanikidze.
This will be the first time (hopefully there will be video somewhere) we get to see him against true NBA level talent. I'm sure the Spurs coaching staff are glad as well. Viktor presents some skills that could be useful down the road (he is only 26). From what I've seen he is a hustle type player that fills up the stat sheet especially with rebounds, blocks, and steals. He has improved his outside shot. Plus at 6'8 and long arms he has good size.
This is the game I'm looking forward to the most during the preseason:
not sure, I'm going to check their team site: http://www.menssanabasket.it/ on game day to see if they possibly have it. I know on their team youtube page they have already started a video blog of their trip to SA. So it seems at least they will have some coverage behind the scenes leading up to, during, and at the end of the game.
Thanks, i hope we can find a stream at gametime.
I will be here live - very excited to see the team.
cool, if possible could you take notes on Sanikidze? It will be good to get a scouting report from a Spurs fan's perspective. Plus I wonder if he will meet with the team while in town to discuss his development.
No problem - will give my thoughts after the game.
After yesterday, spent entirely (or almost) in air (Thursday morning starting at 11.05 am from Rome and arrived in San Antonio at 4:00 at night Italian time), and with little chance of recovering energy, Montepaschi now planning a day's work. The "schedule" includes double training session, with the first meeting at 10.00 am and the second at 18, both from the "Practice Facility", which is the training ground, the San Antonio Spurs. At the end of the evening session the team will host the Spurs for dinner.
Meanwhile continuing overseas interviews with the protagonists NBA, which immersed in their training camp, are still the time to speak of the Montepaschi. After Byron Scott and Omri Casspi of the Cleveland Cavaliers, here is the turn of an "ex" Italian, Gary Neal, seen in our league with the jersey of Benetton Treviso and currently under the Spurs.
"It 's nice to play against Siena - admits the American guard - I've played so many times when I was in Italy against Montepaschi and I think I won at 0 and 6 lost against them. It 's strange to meet this side of the ocean, and who knows, it might be the first time that I beat them. We did not talk too much about them, their tactics, I know Daniel Hackett my great friend, with whom I played in Treviso, and playing point guard in Siena. He is the only player of Montepaschi I know. We do not think the opponents, we are at training camp and we take care of ourselves, there are things both in attack and in defense we want to put into practice, because we know that the coach will pay a lot of attention. "

Should be a fun game. It'll be nice to get a look at Sanikidze and since this game is so early in training camp, I'm assuming we'll get a long look at the invitees.
Is this game going to be shown on NBA league pass?
I'll be there. I got a real good deal on seats.
sanikids vs KL...would be interesting...
I'll be watching it. Glad that basketball is finally starting back up!

Got a link to watch the game but I'm not sure it's gonna work. PM me if want the link.
Go ahead and post any link to a stream of the game in this thread. Preseason games with no national coverage are the only exception to the "don't post stream links" rule.
Got ya. www.thefirstrow.eu The game is on the list of games for today. Right now Dallas is on playing Berlin and quality is pretty good. But I'm not sure how good the spurs feed will be.
