I used hear a woodpecker in our backyard every morning. "peck peck peck peck" like a machine gun. Never really a bother. I'd always listen for a bit and then go back to sleep. One morning, I decided to go out and take a look and see where the woodpecker was. I went outside and looked around and saw a little midget sitting in a chair by the pool. He had a box full of what looked like a combination of Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs. He also had a big wooden mallet in one hand. In the other hand, he had a Walkman with some cheap external speakers hanging from an attached cord. I must have startled him but once he saw me, he turned off the Walkman and the pecking noise stopped.
