    I wonder if this means more favorable refereeing, now that Holt is Stern's direct boss.

    Edit: Stern quit and the anti-flopping rules got reversed. Holt FTW.

    NEW YORK — NBA Commissioner David Stern today announced that Spurs Sports and Entertainment Chairman and CEO Peter Holt has been elected Chairman of the NBA Board of Governors.

    Holt replaces Minnesota Timberwolves majority owner Glen Taylor, who has served as Chairman since October 2008. Holt has been a member of the Board of Governors for 16 years and currently serves on five of the Board’s standing committees, including chairing the Audit & Compensation Committee and the Labor Relations Committee.

    NEW YORK (SPI) - The NBA today announced the reversal of the "anti-flopping" rules announced earlier this month. "We have carefully re-evaluated the evidence from recent seasons and find no evidence of players taking dives to draw fouls," said new NBA Board Chairman Peter Holt. "There's no reason to put a rule into play that will both slow down the game and harm those players who possess good defensive skills."
