It's not like they'll struggle with it; they've been doing the same thing with Kobe for years now.
"I'm thinking USC should only drop maybe one or two spots. they are still national le contenders"
LOL props to Arizona.

God dammit BR, this is the type of game Arizona chokes away with relative ease.
well that lead lasted for about 3 plays
USC scores again, but big deal .... LOL Arizona has dropped almost 600 yards on them.
how hard is it to guard Marquis Lee
so it's up to Vanilla Vick to close this game out. in great.
sons Arizona is a better team than their record shows. the only legit loss this season for them was against Oregon (I lost some money on that game and will never bet on Arizona again) ... their other two losses were very close by only 1 score each and some questionable calls in that Stanford game.
BR Arizona is a 7-8 win team that might be capable of a decent bowl game win but that's pretty much it, granted I never thought in a million years Rod would have them playing at that level this year.
God dammit let Denker throw the ball.
son if both Oregon and Notre Dame win out, then don't be surprised if they end up in the le game. That is of course IF all the SEC teams end up with 1 loss each.
- Alabama has to get thru Mississippi State and LSU
- Mississippi State has to get thru Alabama and LSU
- LSU has to get thru Alabama and Mississippi State
- Florida just lost their first game just now
This loss by USC diminishes Notre Dame's résumé vs a team like Alabama if each go undefeated and are the #2/3 seeds. Now, vs Oregon? PAC-12 is very strong. They are beating up themselves, but had almost a dozen top25 out of conference quality wins, including multiple top-25. But Oregon didn't have one of them... They will still have a nice résumé, but several of their wins will be duplicate to Notre Dame, and a win at Oklahoma for ND will be more impressive than the best Oregon win unless Oregon State remains undefeated until their Nov. 24 matchup in Corvalis.
One of the few years where PAC 12 is really strong. You have some good teams in Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, USC and UCLA.
Arizona State does not belong on the list. They have literally beaten nobody.
It's Orgeon, then Oregon State and USC, then Stanford and Arizona, then UCLA and Wasington, then ASU, Utah and Cal, then Wazzu and Colorado.
Arizona #23 in BCS. Their defense is really limiting this team. They held 4th quarter leads vs. both Stanford and Oregon State and lost on last minute drives in each.

I personally think Casteel has done as good a job as he possibly could with the D. It's so untalented, slow, and undersized yet he's made it respectable. If Rod is ever able to pull in decent recruits (doubtful since he seems to be as allergic to 4-5 star recruits as Stoops was) the D will be good enough.
Yeah, I'm not criticizing because the cupboard was bare, but defense is definitely the weak spot along with FG kicking.
As for recruiting, he'll eventually get the athletes, some will be studs, some will be sleepers.
Well, he hasn't gotten any studs (unless you consider the same mediocre 2-3 star recruits Stoops was able to get studs), so hopefully he's gotten sleepers.
I have no doubt his coaching will continue to be great as long as Casteel sticks around as his DC, but I'm still annoyed with his recruiting.
He'll get studs. Not immediately and not entirely, but eventually and with decent quan y. He whiffed on a few last year, but was strongly considered. This years success will expedite his recruiting pitch.
Tough loss--the D never showed up. What a waste of a season for USC--but if there is an upset next week, then that would make it all worthwhile. Also to see the Tide smoke LSU would be a great runner's up prize...foolish corndogs.
I am rooting for USC this weekend. I want the Ducks to have a loss when we play them.
