it, dude. the damn place doesn't even know how to spell bear.
I'm going to vote soon. I have been to both Bexar county parties web sites to try and get info about each local candidates. However I'm getting nowhere because all they do is give a quick bio and toot their own horns. Is there a site out there that provides quick tidbits on key issues for each local candidate. Kind of like a map of sorts. I usually just vote straight ticket. But I want to be sure I'm not voting for some people that have beliefs that don't align with my own. Any help would be appreciated.

I would listen, carefully, to everything clambake has to say.
I would no do this sober, however.

vote for anything that shoots down education measures.
once people find out how to spell bear.....all will break loose!
This site actually provides some of what I was looking for. So I appreciate your help. I just wish it was laid out a little better. Like a head to head comparison. But this does give me some quick hit opinions on some of these candidates.
I did find some good head to head quotes from State Senate candidates here http://www.ontheissues.org/states/tx.htm.
Beat me to it.
LWV FTW
IF you get their paper guide, they do a better job of that (putting them side by side). You can almost always find them in/near polling places.
I never vote for people who don't bother responding to LWV. If you can't be bothered to fill out the application, why would I give you the job?

Just read the responses submitted by Green Party candidate, Jill Stein. What a nutbag.
Yes your right I found the other do ent on this site and it was formatted better. It was much easier to read. It's funny you mentioned candidates that don't respond. I happen to like one of the candidates who did not respond. Fortunately I was able to find some of his debate transcripts and that helped a lot.
