Thunderup will post here undoubtably
Spurs looking good nevertheless, Bonner has to go, he gives up bulk offensive rebounds
3-0 start, Manu back, already beat two of the 3 playoff teams we faced last summer, defense looks improved, Kawhi rounding into a nice player, not relying on the 3 ball, Duncan looks fresh, Bonner playing limited minutes...
This team looks poised to destroy the league on it's way to the regular season 3peat, and health-permitting, watch out!
PS: please don't gotize this thread (i'm looking at you thunderup and Kidd K)

More thunderup butthurt in 5... 4... 3...
Tony Parker is legit mvp candidate.
God pop is handling those minutes well.
Duncan looks energized this year.
How would I " gotize" this thread? Spurs looking swell this year. Granted I still got bragging rights seeing as that we backdoor swept y'all, but in the meantime I ain't gonna be talking , specially' since we were beat in the last head to head contest.
This thread, though, will be bump worthy when the Spurs show their age on various nights to come.
Duncan does look fresh, that's for sure. I hope for spurfans sake (and, , the west would be a little bit without a relevant spurs) he can keep it rolling for 82.
kawhi is going to be a phenon too, tbh
Agree here. He's going to be a beast once other facets of his game materialize. He's a very promising player in this league.
this is his second season, yeah? he's going to thrive in that system, and could be a long term spur getting long paper money
Yep, started a thread. Spurs are not built for a playoff run, they're built for a couple home series. The NBA is the worst league on the face of the earth, it's between the Lake show and the heat, if you believe otherwise you're delusional
Timvp, please expound on the playoffs.
spurs look fine as so far and tim has been playing with 10yrs off his age it seems. i don't have no doubt they will dominate the regular season one more time if they continue to play this way while staying healthy and fit, but their lack of strength in the paint should be something to worry about especially when it comes to the playoffs. waiving curry was such a terrible mistake that will turn out to be costly when they take on them lakers come the 2nd round and get curbstomped in the paint imho

People don't seem to understand that with time we will improve not decline.. We're a very young team with a lot of talent and the best coach in the league, we are also so freaking deep that we may have injured players and still be a contender... Timmy is over his injuries from two-three seasons ago and it is time for pops to unleash him. Green and Kawhi look very much like the real deal we make them look to be, we're not alone, but it is for the others to adapt, not the other way.
Delusional thb.
perhaps.. time will tell, but i dare you to bet against the spurs..
I said I'm not worried

It's encouraging indeed, as mentioned by nono, the 3-0 start was against POs teams. TP and Tim are playing like all stars to start the season, Leonard is rollin', Manu is back and looks in shape, Diaw is fitting well and played some good individual defense, Green seems to have finally forgotten his WCF and I like what Jax is bringing. Nevertheless the lack of inside presence continues to be alarming, Bonner is still there, Tiago needs to grow a pair quick, the bench has been bad and Neal D is atrocious. Spurs are what they are a great RS team but still a legit big short to be a threat for the LOB trophy.
The number of conclusions being drawn after 3 games is a little stupid. Of course SA is not as good right now as they were last year. 3 games under our belts with Bonner playing like a complete idiot. De Colo still isn't aclimated to our offense because the only thing he's seen to this point is Bonner playing like an idiot. The guy had to be standing around thinking to himself..WTF is MB doing? Nando isn't going to make the plays Manu did, but he can score the points. It's up to Pop to find some combinations that work. I believe with time this will occur. Gotta get some low post scoring though...whether this be Splitter improving in that area or Blair. I think Blair's development could be very important and Splitter definitely must step it up offensively.
If Kawhi can at the very least become half the player Gerald Wallace in his prime was, then I'm happy for him.
Woah, he's got a much higher ceiling than that. He can have a more productive career than Wallace, imo. Just got to get more comfortable with the ball in his hands.
I believe that Blair is officially in Pop's doghouse. He'll either (A) rot on the bench until the end of the season or (B) rot on the bench until he's traded or (C) hope Matty get's injured (not happening). I don't see how he is going to win his spot back.
I only expect 1 outcome, that is for Lakers to get rolling once they're use to each other and the Thunder being close to them by the end of the season. The Spurs just don't have the same talent.
wanna bet? i repeat, I dare you.
