He's gone to be with his ill mother. He likely won't be playing again his season

I saw we take a shot. Nothing to lose and something to gain, especially with all the injuries recently.
*he's leaving to tend to his ill mother, which is unfortunate. But, if he does return this season, wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs inquire about him.

They waived him so that he could go home and be with his sick mother.
I read the article but didn't realize it would last the full season. In that case, never mind. Unfortunate for him.
Gotta assume he will clear waivers, hopefully his mother recovers and he is willing to play again this season. Would be a nice addition before the playoffs if we are still struggling in the front court.
Hopefully his mom makes a full recovery.
Coach Pop may be able to figure something out here; the dude is only 27 years old and after taking care of his personal stuff might be worth a shot.
This young man seemingly has his priorties straight, good luck and would love to see him in a Spurs uniform down the line.
Agree. Family should come first. Sign of maturity from Darko finally. On the basketball side of things, he's gigantic and can play good strong D when he's on his game. Averaged 2 blocks per game in 2011, not bad if he can do that again. I'd like to see him in silver n black later in the year. Would be a bonus just for a massive body to man up to some of the monsters in the west.
