Isn't Nazr under contract? What do you do with him?
He's rumored to be getting cut under the new CBA deal.
He'd be a great addition to our team, for far less than what he's earning. If healthy, this guy is 3 times better than Nazr & Rasho combined.
We should go after him if he's cut.
Isn't Nazr under contract? What do you do with him?
He is an upgrade over Rasho. He will be a great defender. With him and Duncan on the post people will be like "Wallace's who"?
start Theo, Nazr first off of bench for the bigs...might be a way to solidify a repeat and not worry about Nazr's future with the team...we would hold teams to 80 points a game...maybe.
of course see what we could get for Rasho, but is it really likely that we luck out to get Theo even if??? Wouldn't someone offer more dinero? Or does he want to win for once?...
Isn't Theo like 53 years old?
He is not that much better than Nazr and Rasho
How about Rasho to NJ for Nenad? LOL, damn we almost had that guy.
I've never been a big Theo fan. I don't think that by bringing him to San Antonio would be that great of a move. Sure, he can block shots, but I'm not so sure his mobility would fit where San Antonio would need, and that's someone who can swing out and let Duncan do what he does best.. camp out and fill the lane.
Just my opinion, but I think what you've got now fits the team philosophy better than what Theo would bring. Blocking shots, and nothing else.
That's your opinion, Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't he an All-Star @ 1 point?
If Nazr works on his game in the offseason (ball handling, post moves, jumper, better foot work, aggressiveness near the rim) then come talk to me, until then.......
Theo> Rasho & Nazr
Defensively he is much better than Rasho and probably Nazr. He would solidify the defense and make the team much much better.
He was voted an all-star in 2000-01 but was unable to play due to injury. If the Spurs could get the 2000 pre-injury Theo...I would be down for it.
If he was pre-2000-injury Theo, he probably wouldn't be so readily available.
True that.
Still an injury waiting to happen, the guy can only block.

By the way, Ratliff was selected as an East all-star in 2001 but did not play due to injury.
well even if he can only block he'd be really good for our d
its not like he's incapable of rebounding, plus its not like we get good rebounding from our CENTER for the past 2 seasons anyways.....
If Theo is willing to come off the bench, bring him in. But I don't think he should start over Nazr.
Ratliff would be a no-brainer.
Theo is a blocking machine. He can rebound too but not much a scorer.
