Not a good year to be a Suns fan. At least most of the other crappy teams in the league have something to look forward to, or some nice young players to watch develop. The Wiz hadn't won a game till tonight, but at least they have guys like Wall and Beal. What hope do Suns fans have? Especially with the idiots who own and run our team...
Must be hard having to start Michael Beasley.
Jermaine O'Neal as a revival project though is the Suns' best storyline.
It's very difficult to find things to love about this Suns team. Jermaine O'Neal reanimating is one of them. PJ Tucker's hustle is another. Maybe Goran Dragic's once-a-month ESPN highlight. Maybe Markieff Morris showing some progress.
It's been very depressing watching Michael Beasley walk through games, Gortat fade into the shadows, and Jared Dudley, of all people, regressing. Some might disagree with me, but I think it's only to Alvin Gentry's credit that we've won 7 games so far. He's the kind of coach that can squeeze an extra dozen wins out of an underdog squad.
Here's hoping that a 40-point loss to the 5-11 Pistons is the lowlight of this season. The Suns could reasonably become a much more efficient team, but we have an even smaller chance of making the playoffs than last year's team. I wouldn't mind going for a high draft pick... it's been a long time since the Suns drafted any lower than #8.
Dragic has been playing pretty damn well IMO. He's not a highlight factory guard, but he can do a lot of things well. It's just that his team is awful
