Wow...Costco has them really really (relatively) cheap...My house has a lot of BR30 floodlights and the regular incandescents burn out like crazy...I'm constantly getting out the ladder and changing bulbs...tried the curly Q flourescents and they were horrible...

Costco just got them in and has a huge LED bulb display..I bought a couple to try and they are awesome...clear, bright, instant on, and only use a fraction of the electricity that regular bulbs use...and supposed to last 28 years...just went back and spent $400 on lightbulbs...

The BR30's at Costco are $16 and the cheapest I have ever found them anywhere else is $36...decided to make the jump while they still had them in stock.

We replaced the floodlights on our facility at work with LEDs two years ago as part of a government cost cutting + greening initiative. Yes, they're bright

Unless you are using 60 watt or less floodlights, I doubt they will be as bright as what you are using. I think the current ones that are inexpensive are 16 watt 1000 lumen. I'll bet you use 100 or 150 watt flood lights.

For me, Costco's big problem is variability of stock. Buy something, really like, go back to get more a few weeks later, they quit carrying it. Costco stock carrying policies often seem like opportunistic Big-Lot dumping ground.

Online, Costco shows only one brand, http://www.costco.com/Feit-Electric-....11753620.html, and links to non-Costco site.

    Pssssssstttttt......

Maybe that's why they can offer such good deals.

Just a thought. Don't hurt your brain (butt) over it.

Sorry B_D, I don't think your complaining is going to fly very far against Costco around here. They are a model corporation. I can't believe you aren't their number one cheerleader since they are the anti-wall st. anti-1% type company.

I shop at Costco A LOT, for years, many $1000s.

And I screw RickyBobby every chance I get by having Costco ship pricey items to no-Costco/no-tax LA to avoid TX sales tax. And if I need service/relacement on a Costco product, I take it to TX Costco, NQA.

No I haven't, I will have to watch out for that.

    The greeters are creepy though

LOL, is this real? I have never had a greeter do anything but "the nod" as I flashed my card.

edit: nevermind, I guess it is from a movie. Never seen it.
