All Bonner has shown is that the role of fifth big works well for him. It's not a coincidence that he's playing well when he's a spark off the bench. Leave him there.

Yep........ When March and April come around though! He starts his annual shooting % decline around that time and even before the playoffs. He sees the playoffs coming and runs and hides. Keep thinking this bum after years is going to be a different player, thats part of the problem is that Pop or some idiot fans think he is. I agree with CHINOOK above! He is the 5th BIG and thats his role.

Bonner is the best fifth big in the NBA. Hopefully Pop doesn't change that.

If Blair sucks, then I'd rather Pop uses Kawhi/Leonard as the backup PF and still keep Bonner as the fifth big that plays in an emergency.

Even if he is having his statistical worst year, I find Blair has been a decent option as starting PF this year. He is, of course, still doing stupid plays but he has been solid in the key main areas that are man to man defense and defensive rebounding.

Hm, where have I heard this story before?

Oh, that's right, the past three gottamn seasons.

I wouldn't care if Bonner was shooting 99% from three. I don't want this team getting dependent on him in any form or fashion, because come playoff time, I guarantee he will be back to laying bricks and getting abused in the paint and on the boards.

    Just say no.

Another year and we are still on a board arguing over Bonner and Blair as starters I would say we pretty much lost for that.

    Say what?

In any case, it doesn't matter to me which of Blair or Bonner is the 4th or 5th big. As long both of them don't play very much in the regular season and we don't see either of them playing crucial playoff minutes, I won't question how Pop handles them.

OP: How do I put this nicely?...You're wrong. Bonner should be nowhere near the starting line-up of a playoff contender. Never mind the championship.

Bonner has earned his role as a 5th big. It's a wonder that Pop ever came around on this idea. Bonner's historic playoff chokings should've earned him a one-way ticket out of town. I cannot wait for Pop to come around on this idea.

His shooting numbers never lie in the playoffs neither! I am sure the 10-1 had a little to do with a few other guys getting mins as well

Bonner's is in a role well suited for him. He's comfortable there. Pop better not fall for it again.

No way in does Bonner start on this team. And there's no way he's better than Timmy, Diaw, Splitter, and even Blair. At least Blair can defend here and there and go after a rebound once in awhile...
