I guess they'll both be out for OKC but it'd be pretty sweet if they both can be back within the next couple days. Kawhi's extended stay on the sidelines has been worrisome.

I was under the impression that Kawhi was supposed to back versus Boston. A bit disappointing that he will not be back before Jack. It would sure be great to have him versus OKC.

timvp, is the quadriceps tendonitis angle legit or is this CIA Pop? does it take this long for this to heal, because sounds like Gasol will be back sooner with his old ass knees.

It's legit. The injury can take a long time to heal. Sean Elliott missed half the season and the playoffs with the same injury back in 1998.

you said before this injury started with the first Utah game. did he land awkwardly or is it a matter of overuse, improper training etc...I'm just hoping he heals completely, so I don't mind them holding out, I'm just trying to see where it went wrong.

I imagine it was improper training and under-development of smaller but still essential muscles in his legs which caused his knees to carry too much of the load over a period of a time.

I'm tired of hearing they're going to back only to find out they're out another week.

We're screwed if Ginobili misses some time now too.

If the Spurs were really struggling without him I might understand thinking about bringing him back sooner. As it stands, the team is much better off giving him an extra week or two and not having to worry about recurring injuries or requiring he play at half-speed.

If Manu is also out, the Spurs are going to only have Green and Anderson capable of playing small forward. That's suicidal heading into OKC.

Diaw can play some SF time, but I don't want that happen

As much as I hate to concede a game against the Thunder, he might as well sit Duncan and Parker, limit the minutes of Splitter, Diaw, Green and Neal and hope that they'll all be fresh enough vs the Nuggets to pull that game out. Otherwise, this is looking like near certain back to back losses.

Yeah, I don't count Diaw as a SF when the opponent is Durant.

Do the sun strategy on the thunder
let amare go off and stay on everyone else
except this time let durant go off and stay on everyone else
durants passiveness will take over and westbrooks alpha heroball will start jacking shots once he sees durant being passive

    Durant isn't a small forward, he's a freak tbh.

Kawhi not being available for that game simply means that Pop should make adjustments based on what happens in the 1st.

I will actually be at the game Tuesday night. I would love to see them come back that night seeing how it will be another back to back game. More bodies are always good, especially these two!
