Spurs have to sign him by tomorrow, correct? Has there been any word or indication what they intend to do about Nazr's look-a-like?

Personally, I hope they resign him. I think he'd be great to replace Bowen in a couple of years.

It will probably be in tomorrow's paper what they are going to do. They have to pick up his $700K option by Thursday. Even if they don't, it doesn't mean they won't invite him to summer league, etc.

    "He's much taller than me!"

For that celebration speech alone, I want to keep him.

If they don't pick up his option, but do invite him to summer league, what happens then, Kori?

Then he would be an unrestricted free agent and the Spurs (or anyone else) could sign him.

OK, thanks. I doubt they resign him if timvp is correct in his find that Sanikidze is coming.

    : ( We'll see tomorrow, I suppose.

Why exactly do you think that?
    1. He only played in a few games this year and did nothing memorable.
    2. His past history is that of being a very journeyman player on several teams. (although that resembles Bowen's resume, how often does a journeyman turn into an all-D player).
    3. His injury status wasn't the fabled IR fiction but was real. How do we know he can come back at all to even journeyman status?
    4. Can't shoot a lick. Do we really need another non-shooting SF?

I just don't understand all the great expectations for this player.

We've not seen enough of him to know if he can play - maybe the coaches know.

He had solid stats in college. Great all-around player. But we all know college stats don't mean in the NBA.

I've never seen this guy play before so I have no idea how he is but if the Spurs do re-sign him he has to be prety good.

It could just be blind faith but for the Spurs to hang onto him after his injury they must see something in him, and if that's the case I'm willing to trust the front office. I think they've earned it.
