Dude, went to the game tonight and this guy nearly bored me to death. Give it some pazazz man, for cripes sake. Is anyone else having this problem?

Was there as well, I had to pump up my section man.. Seriously, what we need is a hispanic p.a. who knows the game of basketball, has to have a big personality a la George Lopez, tbh.
Yeah, tbh, I don't know who the PA announcer is. He basically just mumbles throughout the game. It has to be by design. Otherwise I don't know how the guy has a job.
I'm not sitting there watching the Pubic Address guy, are you kidding me? Its kind of hard not to notice when, he says like now subbing for the spurs number 4, number 25. There was even an instance where he said "foul on number 22 of nawlins" seriously dude, seriously? Look at the damn roster!
I am sure there are bigger fish to fry, but this has really chomped my nads. PA announcer is part of the whole experience. He pulled the same in the Celtics/Spurs game I attended last week too.
Yeeahh I haven't been to a game in person yet but I remember telling my brother during the first home game of the season that I couldnt hear our PA guy for . I still can't hear anything he says. Give me Stan Kelly back...

That's a good point. Why are they still playing soulja boy at games? Pretty embarrassing tbh. That hasn't been relevant for five years.

The announcer might not be great, but in terms of being horrible, he is completely upstaged by the music. 90% of the music is that unlistenable auto-tuner and drum machine crap that, presumably, children are forced to listen to at summer camp. There were brief seconds where someone playing a musical instrument, like a guitar or some $%#^ing drums got through. A well timed Roger Daltry scream after a big bucket in the 4th quarter, 8 measure of the Stones' "Start Me Up" and the intro to "Layla" were anomalies compared to that nauseating, pop, ear-torturing drivel that is playing most of the time. Actually, the announcer is a relief to that godawful .
Anyone know what happened to Big Kev?
I was told that he actually stepped down from the gig as PA Announcer. The Spurs wanted him back but he wanted to spend more time with his family. Though he's supposedly still going to be involved in Spurs events, just not PA announcing. (I assume the fact that the Spurs don't pay much of anything probably played a part in him leaving.)
I went to a Nets game last week, and their PA announcer was quite vocal. It was annoying to hear him shout when the Nets scored and act petulant when the Pistons scored. Honestly, I prefer the PA person to just say what is happening in a normal tone. I don't get pumped up because someone tells me to over a speaker.
