Let me know when the human toad shows up against legit compe ion. LMAO mavs.
Danny Green is a solid (though streaky) shooter, energetic player, and an asset to the team (especially given what the spurs are paying him).
Hits 7 threes vs Cats and Mavs, hits nothing against anyone of note
I don't know the difference between a star-caliber player, and a role player, so when some players don't shoot lights out every game, it confuses me and makes me angry. I really don't understand anything about professional sports, so I just expect all players to play as well as the best I've seen play the game. And the internet is exists as a place I can go to whine, , moan, and complain when certain players aren't meeting the arbitrary and ill informed expectations my meager brain has imposed upon my understanding of the NBA.

Well said
I guess you missed last year's playoffs..
Green was missing against the Thunder.
I don't like that new format they introduced where you play the Thunder 3 different series in a row.
He is who we thought was, tbh.
He did good against the Jazz & Clippers, who looked damn near irrelevant, but then he went six games and couldn't hit nothing. That's when it matters
he's not matchup proof that's what it is.. he needs perfect timing and balance and the likes of sefolosha have no intention of giving that to him.
Wasn't Sefalosha shutting down Tony?
People love to hate. At least he doesn't throw up contested heroes like Mr. Hero Ball himself does.
It's not just about missing shots or not. It's about figuring out how to contribute when you are missing shots. That means playing tougher defense, rebounding. Nobody shoots perfect every game, especially not role players. The problem was the Thunder made him a non-factor. Another problem is Pop has never had a good counter for when the other team plays tough defense on TP. That effectively cuts the head of the snake off. He needs to be able to run the offense through someone else when that happens.
wow i can't believe the guy that came into last season with a combined 28 games under his belt didn't come up big in the WCF against okc... he's a clown.
relax guys the kids young. it was his first time having a role in the playoffs. and god forbid he hits a cold streak in the reg season. keep in mind for over a month he's been playing out of position when he's a natural 2 guard. he's a plus defender at the 2 guard spot and is average at the 3. now that he's back we will reap the rewards of his defense as well (see OJ Mayo's #'s). Don't forget that Pop likes to throw him on point guards late in games too. For the year he's shooting 39.6% from range. He'll be fine
Lol.... Exactly.
It could be that Green played a pivotal role on O and D for those two series tat led tem to being such one-sided affairs. Or you could just ignore facts to suit your argument.
It's true that Green didn't play we'll against the Thunder, but he wasn't alone in that distinction. Revisionist history tbh.
Danny's playoff numbers last year (including the OKC series):
20.6 minutes, 41.8% FG, 34.5% 3PT, 3.2 Rebs, 1.1 Ast, 7.4 Pts
Yeah, those aren't spectacular numbers, but they really aren't bad, especially for a younger player.
