Really? Chromebook blows.
...for Christmas. Fooled around with it for a bit before I wrapped it. It's an Acer w/a 320gb hd, so she's not completely cloud dependent for storage.
Pretty cool....takes awhile to get used to doing everything in a browser window tho.![]()
Really? Chromebook blows.
Really? You're a re .
So I'm a re just because I think the Chromebook blows and I'd rather buy a real laptop with Windows or OSX in it?
The chrome remote desktop could make it worth the low cost
I didnt buy it for you, re . :facepalm
How does the pr0ns look in 1080p? Can you see the razorbumps on the muff?
lol acer good luck getting 16 months out of it
Been running one in my studio for 3 years no probs. Suck it.
Probably a faulty unit
I have been wondering about these since I have been thinking about getting something like this for my wife. If you could, I would appreciate it if you would update this thread from time to time with reviews.
I don't know about Chromebooks but I know that after 2 acer laptops I"m done with them. I don't know if I just put too much beating by always carting mine around in a backpack but my last one is 2.5 years old and is really showing wear and tear. The previous one didn't last long either. I just refuse to buy another one ever.
all y'all. The Acer's screen crapped out.
Got a refund. Now looking at an Lenova or an ASUS touchscreen laptop.![]()
I knew this would be an important exercise in self-validation for VQ.
Did yall use it long enough to like/dislike the idea of it?
I kinda liked it, personally. The wifey was coming to terms with it when the screen crapped out. She's really hung up on the MS ecosystem. Then she got hold of Google Docs and figured out pretty quick that it was a good alternative to the Office suite.
And VQ, you're still a re .![]()
I have an Acer monitor that I have been really happy with for 2 years now; almost afraid to post that after the way things backfired for you immediately after defending them though.
Also, GFY TB![]()
No. You chose to buy the Chromebook despite it being an Acer and being completely less powerful than a bona fide laptop.
I know it's not my money, but suuuuck ittt.
Chromebook is based off Ubuntu right?
It is Linux based. I have the Samsung S550 model and I use it more than my tablets. As someone said earlier, the remote desktop feature makes my laptop usage almost nil.
