Neither at this point.
Any offer to to Chandler short of the max will be matched by the Bulls. AD is going to start at the point somewhere, maybe Cleveland who also happens to have $20+ million available.
In today's USA Today, David Dupree ranks the top 15 free agents and lists the teams that are interested.
Out of the bunch, here are the free agents he has listed for which he claims the Spurs have an interest:
Tyson Chandler (F) - Chicago Bulls
What he does:
Defensive specialist who loves to rebound and who will run the floor.
Who's interested:
Bulls, Pistons, Lakers, Spurs
What it'll take to sign him:
($5 mil - $7 mil)
Antonio Daniels (G) - Seattle Supersonics
What he does:
Great defender from either guard spot; has 3-point range
Who's interested:
Sonics, Lakers, Spurs, 76ers
What it'll take to sign him:
($4 mil - $7 mil)
Which one would you rather have?
Neither at this point.

Both would solve our Pg & SG backup rotation, & Chandler could be our Center, though on OFF he would play the perimeter, but on DEF he would help crach boards & alter shots.
Speaking realistically here.Neither at this point.
I haven't heard of any interest in AD outside of message boards.
I would rather have Chandler at this point but for reasons mentioned above probably will not happen. Spurs tried to get him befor we got Nazr but the Bulls did not want to part with him. I think he is too important to that team.
Dupree is making up. Don't mind, though, since it keeps our team in the news.
I'll believe this when David Dupree becomes a psuedonym for RC Buford.
I think alot of people (possibly managers and agents) are attaching "spurs interested" to players to up thier value.
not that I wouldn't mind have Chandler on our team.
Tyson Chandler. Without a doubt. This guy is a defensive beast and would be able to handle Amare Stoudamire.
The Spurs will be listed as a suitor for AD simply because he played here and he's buds with TD.
The Spurs had interest in Chandler this past year.
Seems to me that Chandler would be an ideal fit for the Spurs defensive scheme. He's long, athletic, is a terror on the glass, ferocious shot-blocker and is quick enough to guard any position on the front line. He makes the most sense.
Chandler has been one of my favourite players. He defends and rebounds like no other. But his health issues are of great concern, sort of like Marcus Camby. his offensive game is also undeveloped (or undevelopable).
I think Donyell Marshall would be a great fit with the Spurs. He rebounds and block shots reasonably well, not a particularly good defender at the moment due to his lack of lateral quickness, but he makes up with it with his long arms. Excellent complement to TD on offense. Have 3 pt range, and have decent moves around the basket. He is sort of like a Robert Horry minus clutch player.
Had Daniels not been a Sonic last year the Spurs would have won that series 4-0.
I'm not sure what his role would be on this team though.
It's funny that Dupree doesn't name the Cavs as one of the teams interested in AD and they are open about wanting him.
Maybe Ferry wants someone else -- I would love to have heard Danny ing out the new owners during his interview.
I think the Spurs are fine at backup PG with Udrih.
Chandler would be perfect on this team. However, I dont think the Spurs could steal him by signing him. So what kind of trade would work? Would they be interested in Rasho?
Nazr maybe? Draft picks?
The Bulls are not letting Chandler go.
Period.
I'd look into getting one of their backup PGs maybe.
agreed, especially when you have manu and barry to turn to if needed.
and i still like wilks.
