hahahah good luck trading rose.
The Spurs-East, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to add a significant free agent, and make decisions on their own.LeBron James is reportedly leaning Cavs officials toward Bulls center Eddy Curry, rather than keeping Zydrunas Ilgauskas.Cavs GM Danny Ferry, a former teammate of Ilgauskas feels the opposite and remains skeptical on Curry. Curry was about to be cleared for contact by the Bulls after his heart ailment, but Bulls officials remain skeptical about offerering him a large deal. Michael Redd is still on the Cavs radar, although it is incresingly likely he will remain in Milwaukee.
According to the New York Post, the Knicks will actively look to trade Jerome Williams and Malik Rose.
hahahah good luck trading rose.
duck ducks, here comes a barrage of lets get Rose back posts.
I wouldn't put it past NY to waive Malik before his contract is done. Unfortunately, they have many more "cap mulligan" prospects.
The Detroit Pistons could see a familiar face return next season. Former Piston Allan Houston has told friends that the Pistons will be at the top of his list when he is eventually released by the Knicks. Houston remains close friends with VP Joe Dumars and guard Lindsey Hunter. Detroit may also pursue Michael Finley or Jalen Rose. After discussions between Carlos Delfino and Joe Dumars in San Antonio during the NBA Finals, Dumars has been assured that Delfino wants to remain a Piston despite reports to the contrary.
Lets get Rose back!!!!!
But seriously, if the Cavs got Redd and Curry, and Curry is indeed healthy....then we're looking at an extremely dangerous team here. A young, talented, athletic, dangerous team. Get them to play Defense and we got a possible contender...
BEWARE: The reign of King James! hahaha
p.s. Damn i wish we had carlos ing delfino. that guy is stone cold killah, those argentenians are no freakin joke!!
james gets cavs to sign curry for the max
then curry gets hurt
james will BOLT OUT OF THERE
Ferry isn't stupid enough to sign Curry to a big deal.
He's tight with Z.
I'm beginning to agree with ducks. James and his posse want to control things and don't have a ing clue what they're doing. Great talent on the court. Two cent head off the court.
If that happens, prepare for me to jump on the Spurs bandwagon.
Screw Houston. He left us high and dry when we sucked, and now all of a sudden he wants to come back? I'd rather put Darko in the starting rotation in Game 7. Screw him.
If the Knicks waived Rose then the Spurs would have gotten Mohammed for 2 picks and a 26 game rental of Malik Rose. I'll take that.
bron is a wanker n a half, his conning the players tojoin his team, so when the team does he's goin to leave for thebig market team...i gota good feelin about this....
actually I hope pistons get houston then finley because allan is always hurt
WILL JAMES GET AS BAD AS GM KOBE or WORSE?
not just to just point out james kidd did the same think with the nets.....
and not see how the nets SUCK
If Rose is waived, SPurs could re-sign him for the vet minimum, I believe - or some other small contract. I think there's a good chance he'd do it, cause he's Tim's best friend and he likes SA so much. But he wouldn't get much playing time with Horry coming back and Scola coming on, and I wouldn't want to lose Nazr or Rasho. We'd kind of have a glut at PF/C - that would make 6 players at PF or C.
I could see him signing with Houston or Dallas, just to be closer to SA.
Ilgauskas is a lot better than Curry.
All of this big talk about where Houston could go, am I missing something? Isn't this the same guy that's looking like the second coming of Grant Hill, only even further into decline? I remember what a lights out shooter he was in 99, but he's been so damn injured I can't understand why any team would go after him for anything but the vet minimum.
NY wanting to trade Rose???
Unless there is a Isaiah Clone, no one will take on Rose contract.![]()
Neither did Gilbert til he hired Ferry -- we'll see who calls the shots soon enough.James and his posse want to control things and don't have a ing clue what they're doing. That's all they'd have to sign him for.I remember what a lights out shooter [Houston] was in 99, but he's been so damn injured I can't understand why any team would go after him for anything but the vet minimum.
It won't happen in the off-season, but after a few weeks of Phil Jackson Kobe will be demanding a trade and Mitch Kupchak is so Kobe whipped that he'll wind up taking in Rose as part of a trade to NY, who will be the only ones with enough bloated contracts to be able to move equal money without having to trade nine guys.
Would he sign for it though? I really don't know a whole lot about the guy's mentality at this point, but I know that his greed was part of what hurt the Knicks cap flexibility in the first place (re ation in the front office didn't help either). There are people who would know better than I. Would Houston play for the vet min?
He's getting all his money from the Knicks, why not?Would Houston play for the vet min?Would you turn down the max if it was offered to you by the richest team in the league. The Knicks never have and likely never will worry about getting under the cap. Besides - they never even gave it a second thought -- why should Houston?I know that his greed was part of what hurt the Knicks cap flexibility in the first place
Good point. I guess I've gotten a little spoiled here in SA where guys stop and think about their team before they take monster contract. I agree that this amounts to a free pass to go to a contender for just the vet minimum and the logic is pretty sound, but NBA players don't always make a lot of sense in their decisions.
Houston is all about proving he can still play, so he'll jump at the best opppotunity to do that.
That said, I also don't think any team would risk more than the minimum on him considering his health. His signing for the vet minimum is a bit of a fait accompli I think.
If Rose comes back, I am not getting anymore tickets.
