Huh?
Manu will only get better and better.
Manu said something like..." I do not want to think about basketball for a month". And a very humble comment " I do not know if I ever will be able to play better than this year".

Huh?
Manu will only get better and better.
I think he also said something about wanting to get his contract renegotiated.
Very humble and sincere. I also think is going to be difficult for him to play better than this season.

i like dis in guy ginobili. he has balls. you wit him, your in wit da best.
It'd be hard for him to play better than he did this season. He was pretty much on fire in the playoffs. Shot better than ever and finished better than ever. I don't know how he could play better.
I'm just hoping that he can avoid injuries over the next couple of seasons because with his reckless play, it's hard to imagine him still able to play in the last couple years of his contract.
Scary thought (for the rest of the league): he can get better...
If only Ginobili could play as well as Gelabale, the draft pick that got away.![]()
"I was not expecting to have the stats I obtained this season, especially in the playoffs. It's very hard to improve on them, but I will try to do it". -manu
Manu can get a little better with his turnovers. Aside from that? What else can he really do better? He is extremely efficient in his 30mpg and when he is in the game you can guarantee the Spurs are a better team then when he is off (evidenced by his insane +/- in the regular season AND playoffs).
He played exactly the amount of minutes I hoped for in the playoffs 33-34mpg, and actually saw more possesions/shots per minute than in the regular season. Now we know he can play more minutes, increase his possession count, and be more effective come playoff time.
I hope he stays around 30-32mpg (which I am sure he will). As long as he bulks up a little and gets some rest this summer, then I think it would be best keeping him in the low 30's to prolong his career. Then come playoff time he can up his minutes a bit.
He also asked to be traded tp Portland if the Spurs do not pay him more money, huh tlong?

My Summary
1 month off (not even watch Bball).
Sept I'll go back to States to work on my body (for being in shape next season).
No idea how to improve my playoffs' number.
TP is a PG very fast, a GP oriented to be scorer (People criticize him ... too much, it is not fair).
I felt we were Champ when it was 40 secs to go.
I'd like to be honored as CO-MVP.
Manu's Agenda
Today: Rest, social issues and National TV at night.
Tomorrow: Meeting with Argentinean President.
Week-end: Basket without borders by FIBA, CABB and NBA.
Later ... dissapeared!!!
I'm sure the Parker bashing was in full effect in that press conference. I don't know why Argentina hates him so much. Do they have a soccer rivalry with France or something?

We don't hate TP![]()
In fact we are exciting about his new CD!!!![]()
French National Soccer Team!!??? that's another topic![]()
Honestly, I do know a lot of people (including me) who dislike TP's game.
And all I can say is that maybe it's just a "basketball culture" thing.
Maybe we are more used to other type of "bases" (PGs to you). Some local legends were the exact opposite of him (Milanesio guided the national team for 10 years or so and is obviously a reference) and even the current Olympic Gold medalist is Pepe Sanchez, who also plays other game.
I'm just guessing. I can only speak for myself and point the things I dislike about him... it happens that even the local commentators of the finals agreed with meAnd that was on national TV.

That was funny....
I think Manu's regular season stats will go up, somewhere near 18 points per game, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds.
I think Manu's reg season game will improve.
I'm also hoping for less turnovers.
Althoguh I love his crazy moves out on the floor - I hate it when what ever he;s trying to create blows up in our faces. Hopefully he;ll keep his energy and creativeness but gain a bit more control.
I don't thinks his TOs will go down that much. For every three or four passes people go "How the did he pull it off?" there is bound to be 1 TO.
He takes risks, but as many people have learned to accept, with Manu, you take the good and the bad because the good far outweighs the bad.
All Manu will have to do to improve on last year is work on his conditioning and stamina. If he puts on a bit more weight and works on his cardio so he can average a few more minutes a game then his stats should improve across the board.
Manu Ginobili explaining how Robert Horry hit those clutch shots.
I don't think there was anyone in the league that was in better shape than Manu. He's probably got the best "cardio" system around. Nobody runs more and harder than him...I ain't gotta clue how he could improve, he's getting the most outta his body. He needs more rest, cuz he runs and exerts more effort than anyone else. Not because his cardio needs improvement.
If he bulks up, that will limit his quickness, leaping ability, joint stress...everything. He wont be able to go as long, given the effort he gives...if he increases his mass.
No, Manu is just fine.
