He didn’t fall on her. He came close and I just pushed him a little bit.
Forget arena employees being too close to the court -- this news could open up a whole new can of worms.

Bloomberg's push cost the Spurs a little more than a game and a half of potential use of Jackson. I'm sure someone more motivated than me could find the exact figures from SJack's salary. Either way, hopefully this will result in some action by the league (like banning Bloomberg from games for a while and fining the Knicks) to establish a precedent of fan/player interaction and consequences.

It could have been worse for the Spurs, a LOT worse, and I'm glad it wasn't.

Though in all honesty, I'm a bit curious why Bloomberg admitted to the push in the first place -- everyone was already blaming the waitress/the arena for putting the seats too close. He could have just left it at that.

I didn't see a push and nothing's probably gonna happen. The NBA would never fine the Knicks in favor of the Spurs (or any small market team)

I doubt it was a malicious push. Probably more like Bloomberg pushed Jax to prevent Jax from falling on him or the waitress.

Still, it's a really strange thing to come out and say. He'd have been far better served by just keeping his mouth shut.

How the does he have any right to initiate contact with a player who's on the court?

I am not so sure he really pushes SJax. From the video it looks like Jax falls over the girl.

I mean he fell backwards and the major was behind him. I wonder if the mayor is trying to talk up his involvement in that incident more than it really was.

I mean if anything he probably reached his arms out in a pushing way when Stak was falling on him as a natural reaction. You guys would make a huge deal about this, no offense.

It wouldn't have been malicious. But surely a politician is smarter than this? Maybe he thinks people will like him for it?

If there's any contact, he did so after Jack started to fall. It likely didn't do anything but prevent Jack from falling directly on top of her. He's an asshat regardless.

Bloomberg just had to have his in drink served to him on a silver platter mid-play.

Agreed with the Pop comment, that shouldn't be allowed during play. Bloomberg's pompous ass can get his drinks during timeouts, free throws, and commercials.

Everything is already too close without making it closing with people walking around during play.

I think it's a simple case of PR Fail.

Jackson once went into the stands to fight fans. Clearly, Bloomberg was just protecting the citizens of NY by pushing the evil out of the way. #SandyFail

Unless things have changed, don't the Spurs still have waiters and waitresses for those seats, as well. I thought they walked around during the game, too.
