I know. Clearly he's still elite but only a notch below his usual defensive prowess.
Kobe has been playing defense for years... But Due to his scoring capabilities and his Blind reporters/fans, this lil will still be voted Into the Defensive Categories yet again. Nothing New.

The guy who was selected all-defensive team for long time, even when his legs deny to run after offensive players shouldnt be 8ft from his defender. The questions are - how the he was selected to this all-d teams or why the he suddenly dont give a about even pretending to play D.
It's a reputation thing that's why its a joke. Players like Sefalosha, Iguodala, Tony Allen are snubbed because none of them has a glamorous name. Kobe probably deserves maybe 2-3 All Nba team selections in his career.
They should mae a rule to remove any big time or volume scorer from making that team. History shows that no volume scorer can play great defense with the exception of Lebron.
I'll be happy if Kobe makes the ASG tbh, and I hope he wins the MVP there. Add the scoring le and it's a winning season imo.
