This was that Early Termination Option that I talked about in regard to Van Exel.
Guard Cuttino Mobley is an unrestricted free agent after terminating the final year of his contract, the Sacramento Kings said Thursday.
The Kings also extended offer sheets to forwards Darius Songaila and Maurice Evans, making them restricted free agents.

Mobley is a really good SG. The Rockets shouldnt have traded him. But, he certainly isnt coming to SA to sit behind Manu.
Mobley needs a coach that is a disciplinarian and Jeff Van Gundy would be the perfect fit for that. Rick Adelman was the worst fit because he didn't stress defense and he was know is role on the offense and thought he was the man. If he goes to the rockets he will be better.
If Cuttino signs with the Magic for the minimum, I wouldn't be surprised.

He's never comming to the Spurs. He's had some pretty hard qoute's towards the Spurs players in the past. I think he complains after every Spurs game he's played in. No thank you.
That's what exactly I thought when I read the news - now if he can only stop being a crybaby , some contender is gonna pick him for cheap.
I'm guessing eventually they'll retire together in Spain.
Totally agree I thought that was such a stupid trade to get rid of your backcourt and Francis for Mcgrady.

I just thought if they kept that team together they could have gotten further in the playoffs, cause they would have had a deeper bench.
