....so he starts doing a ton..a TON...of TV commercials. Now where is he?
Aaron Rodgers wins a Superbowl, now he's doing TV commercials, where's he at now? Greg Jennings doing commercials, he doesn't seem big enought name wise.
Drew Brees wins a Superbowl, so there he is...TV commercials, what was their record?
Eli Manning, Jason Tuck and Victor Cruz all doing commercials, where are the Giants?
I have this theory, it goes like this.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is huge in the NFL and these players are selfish, they see a star player doing TV gigs and making all that extra $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and it bugs them. Another player getting all the hype doesn't set well. It hurts a ream, it hurts the players doing all those endorsements. His attention is diverted. Football not as important as it once was.
Matthew Stafford had a great 2011, we start seeing him in TV spots, what did he do in 2012? RGIII is selling this and that, he ended up hurt. Cam Newton had an amazing rookie year, then there he is doing this TV thing and that, where's he at now?
The Jets were in two conference le games, then here came all that media attention where are they now?
For retired players sure, but for current players I do believe all that outside exposure/$$$$$$$$$$ doesn't help things.
How many Niners are doing TV commercials? Yes I know, we see Ray Lewis doing some.
Anyone else ever pick up on that?
I'm also thinking that most people are sick of Ray Lewis, I don't think it's how they want to sell it at all. I bet a lot of his teammates will be glad when he's gone, I know I will be. The guy is actually just a thug. If he got in my face with all his jive I'd tell him.....shut the up and worry about your ass.

Manning was shilling for anyone who'd write a check for years before he won a Superbowl. Wasn't like he took a year off from doing ads the season the Colts won it all. You think guys drop off because of ads, they'd say they've got a short earning window and an NFL career can drop off (or get ended) 100 different ways.
And if you were really paying attention you'd notice that Ray and the whole damn Niners squad both show up in the same dumbass Visa commercials which both began airing (IRRC) around the midseason, back when the Ravens looked like a team with a one-and-done ceiling in the playoffs and no one could have told you have many E's were in Kaepernick. The only corporate sponsored rigging more blatant than that is KIA getting Blake Griffin friendly whistles for his flops.
Just a little something I picked up on. That seems to have some merit attached to it. No Giants in commercials, they are winning SB's, Giants in commecials they aren't. Just a thought.
