The UN Security Council imposed additional restrictions on North Korea on Jan. 22, prompting a vow from Kim Jong Un’s regime to boost its nuclear capability. South Korean officials have warned that the North is prepared to conduct a nuclear weapons test “soon” following a December rocket launch that boosted its ballistic capabilities.
Minutes before the announcement, Glyn Davies, the U.S. special envoy on North Korea who is visiting Seoul, called on the regime not to detonate an atomic device. He said President Barack Obama’s administration is willing to hold “credible negotiations.”
South Korea’s military thinks a nuclear test from the North is possible “at any time,” Defense Ministry spokesman Wi Yong Seob said today. The U.S. has “repeatedly called for North Korea to abide by its international obligations and to refrain from provocative acts,” Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said in an e-mail.

You guys missile defense theater is good enough against NK threat, right ? Why don't you go out and kick these MFers in the groin from the sky ? They're not an important world member, south korea is good enough defensively, Russia don't give a , China won't interfere as long you don't plant any ground troop north DMZ zone, so what's stopping you ?
NK is much more advanced as a nuclear threat compared to Iran and their leaders don't give a about their people (Iran would think a thounsand times to incur west wrath over their people should they decide to play fire with Israel, not to mention Israel nuclear strike ability themselves). NK leaders are basically Taliban like, just different ideology.
Meh, deterrence is a myth. We don't even need to be armed as a country. There's the UN for that.

NK doesn't bother me. They don't with anyone I care about. They don't come here. Leave them the alone and let them all starve to death or kill each other and we will deal with whomever rises from that.
I'd like to see China and Taiwan bombed (not nuked) the out. That would bring jobs back to the US.
i'd rather see south and north picklebreaths ing up each other so no more hyundai and samsung s stealing american technology. whereas it would be a landslide victory for them commie s if a war broke out between china and taiwan, since their military comparison is like that between iraq and kuwait before the gulf war. taiwan is like the far eastern version of isreal which would've never existed in the first place w/o US behind them tbh. just unleash japan to fight them s and it would be even matched. just give them all the military freedom a sovereign country should have and japan will develop the world's 5th strongest navy & army within 5 years backed by their strong economy tbh
"Japan" and "strong economy"? That was true 20 years ago, the japonese economy is all but healthy.
Anyway, NK is one of those countries no one will miss. Bomb them or whatever. Or keep starving them, no one cares.
