Damn, are you THAT pessimistic or was that thread le a typo?
-Tim Duncan got up some shots in practice today. He didn't go full force but he was out there working up a sweat. He's still day-to-day but Duncan isn't expected to play on Wednesday. According to Tony Parker (thanks to Bruno), Duncan could possibly be back Feb. 10 at Brooklyn.
-Manu Ginobili is being listed by the Spurs as doubtful for Wednesday with a tight hamstring. Ginobili also didn't go full force in practice. The good news is that Parker says he may only have to miss one game. That would put his return as Feb. 8 in Detroit.
-It appeared like Aron Baynes got injured during his second game with the Toros. As it turns out, that looks to be not the case. Baynes says he didn't get injured, rather he suffered a "niggle". Not sure what that is but I'm sure our Australian brethren can translate. Anyways, Baynes says he's good to go.

Wow that's awesome news about Tim. No one could have felt that way after watching that game. Was there at the game and it got very very quiet. It wasn't only the players who had trouble focusing on the game, the fans did too. Great news that he won't be out too long.
gonna be interesting watching Baynes against Pekovic. Dude is a big bruiser.
Watching the replay... and seeing Baynes trying to walk off the discomfort... it might be he simply sustained a shot to the 'man area'...
Maybe one of our New Zelanders can confirm if that's what Aron meant by a "niggle"...
Good news we are facing Minny and Detroit coming up.
Those two teams just lost to the Lakers. I'm pretty sure we can beat them half-staffed.
A niggle is just something that's a bit uncomfortable or annoying, but not a big issue.
nig·gle
Verb
Cause slight but persistent annoyance, discomfort, or anxiety
Ahh, it feels good to be able to laugh again.

Great news regarding Baynes, the lack of update was worrying.
Wow, even the Baynes scare is nothing.
I seriously hope our luck holds through the rest of the season. We've been dodging bullets left and right Neo-style.

Bye, bye, buddy: After playing for weeks with his fractured right pinkie finger taped to the ring finger, Jackson practiced Monday with only the right pinkie taped.
“Today was the first day I didn’t have the buddy tape,” he said. “I got it X-rayed this morning. It’s still broken, but it’s going to be like that for a couple more months.
“They told me I could try one (finger) taped. I still have to tape it for the rest of the season, but they let me try it and it felt good today. We’ll see about playing like this, though.”

You americans don't use the term niggle? Learn something new every day
As poster above said, a slight problem causing minor discomfort but not enough to stop someone playing.
It's obvious that tape has affected his shot greatly; it'll be great once he gets that crap off.
I just keep thinking about monty python holy grail, tis but a flesh wound..
I was equally surprised
Niggle, please...
