There's a reason that New Orleans has hosted 10 Super Bowls and numerous other big events (BCS Championships, Final Fours, NBA All Star Games). It's because there is no other city that has the entertainment value in a centralized location in which everything is within walking distance for the fans. The Super Bowl is a full week of activities and events (concerts, talk shows, NFL Experience, ceremonies, banquets, etc). Combine that with all of the local clubs, restaurants, museums, casino, & historical architecture in the downtown area, and it's just an ideal spot for people to have a great time without having to take a cab or subway to get from one event to another. When the Super Bowl is in places like Miami or Phoenix or Dallas, the fans have to find a way to get 15+ miles to the stadium instead of just walking to it from their hotel rooms, because the stadiums are in the middle of nowhere. When the Super Bowl is in places like Indy, the fans are probably bored out of their minds because the night life sucks so badly. You guys can troll all you want, but I guarantee you that if you have been here or ever do decide to come here for an event (sporting event, Mardi Gras, festivals), you will have a great time. I've never spoken to a tourist who was here and said that they weren't having a fantastic time. Yes, the power outage sucked, but the league has already said that this was one of the most successful Super Bowl hosting jobs ever, and Goodell said that the Super Bowl would be back here. I'm thinking it will be back in 2018, which is the tricentennial anniversary of the city.
