no ..he is only 30 years old.
Difficult game against a physical defense, back-to-back..Spurs are up by 20+ and Tony is still in the game..Spurs have been wearing him out during this stretch..
Any chance Pop sits him out?..
no he's still young and can handle the minutes.
Nah. 2 more games and then ASB.
I don't think so. Especially with Duncan and Manu still out.
I think Parker can handle it, but to avoid possible injuries I would like to see him sit tomorrow.
We need him against Irving on Wednesday.
This. With the ASB right around the corner I don't see him being rested.
mvparker might be the counter to timvp
TP's earning every ing dime on his salary, unbelievable value the Spurs has stolen there. And the insanity of Spurs fans who thinks TP isn't a max deserving player .......![]()
Will Pop be able to resist sitting Parker? I'll be surprised if he plays him.
I'd rather he sit out Tiago. TP's on a roll right now and will probably successfully lobby Pop to play.
I'm okay either way tbh.
He single-handedly won tonight's game. He got to any spot he wanted, played head games with Lopez, and continously found the open shooter all while not committing a single turnover. His play this season from the PG position is second-to-none in the NBA in my opinion. All that being said, if we want any chance of winning he must play tomorrow night against Chicago. He'll get his rest at the end of the week.
I have a feeling Tim or Manu or both may play tomorrow. Probably just wishful thinking.
WTPWN - without tony parker were nothing
if pops sit TP and TS with TD and Manu sitting as well due to injuries, IMO sterns gonna fine as $1m this time hehehhe![]()
I have a feeling he will.
Anybody know the Thibs-Bulls record against the Spurs?..it seems like they usually win or keep it close..
Turd Towers tbh
Tony shouldn't be sat. Pop needs to deal with players like Tony and Kawhi differently than he does with Manu and Timmy. They don't require the same white glove treatment, and I wish he would be stronger in distinguishing players who can play consistently big minutes from players that need their minutes limited because of age.
Pop put Parker back in the game early in the fourth (IIRC, Parker would have played 40 minutes if he had to finish out the game). That was an odd decision on the first night of a back-to-back ............... unless Pop isn't planning on playing TP tomorrow.
Then again, I haven't seen any sign of TP slowing down or getting tired so Pop might ride him.
Personally, I don't have a strong opinion either way. If Pop thinks TP is tired and could use the rest, then rest him.
He shouldn't rest him. The 1 seed is too important to sit him just for the of it. He's shown no signs of fatigue and they've really just started to get back into the grind after playing 2 games in 10 days or whatever it was.
Everyone should play and if it's clear early it's heading for a blowout or it's just not going to be their night, then pull the plug.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Pop rested TP tomorrow night, but ...Tony wanted to go back in the game tonight, so I expect him to play tomorrow night...
Tony will play tonight. He's only played 5 games in 15 days. Just two more games until the break.
