OK, so maybe the first game back from a long road trip is a traditional loser. But the Bulls were facing a chump lineup similar to the one that cost the Spurs a quarter-of-a-million earlier this season. Now, Gregg Popovich doesn’t fly home the guys he won’t play. He has them sit on the bench. That shoud’ve been a taunting foul.

A close loss in Miami and a win in Chicago. Trade Parker, Ginobili and Tim for future draft picks. Do it RC!

You don't have to buy a subscription tbh.

I assume he was joking about Neal, but he didn't fully flesh it out so maybe not.

Yea, it kind of came off as a joke. But then again, most of the first part of the article came off as a joke - so he might literally have not known.

Then of course the second half of the article is just a bunch of Lebron James -slobbering. Yeck.

Yup, wouldn't it be nice in a couple of years if Leonard can take it to bron a fair share?

I somehow don't think people realize that the Spurs are the best team in the NBA right now. That column reads like the Spurs are just any average western conference team. The fact that he doesn't mention that the Bulls are missing a lot of their key players makes it seem like this was thrown together just to fill newspaper space.

I think a lot of it was supposed to convey comical frustration, so I wouldn't take much of it seriously. But tbh, idk why ppl are still surprised by our depth, it's been like this since last year, and almost beating miami in the 250K game in national TV should've brought enough attention to everyone else that may just not follow the spurs. Silly ppl

Great article. Thanks for the heads up.

Favorite line among many: "The Bulls couldn’t beat the guys who couldn’t beat out the Spurs starters."

Bulls fans have been very arrogant ever since the beginning of the Thibs/Rose era. Kinda annoying seeing as they haven't won yet with that group.

"The Spurs just completed a back-to-back road set against Brooklyn and the Bulls, winning both games with nobody on their roster.
No, really. Nobody. Some guy named de Colo. Oh, and Danny Green. He’s a D-Leaguer. He helped the Spurs beat the Bulls in the United Center on Monday."

"Tim Duncan was out. Same goes for Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker. I think the Spurs had one starter and a bench of inflatable pool toys, and that bunch pantsed the Bulls."

Tom Thibodeau is a defensive Mike D'Antoni. Has a gimmicky system that works in the RS but doesn't do well enough on the other end of the court to work in the postseason, plus he rides his main guys into the ground.

Exactly. That's actually the reason why he doesn't have his main main guy.
