That's bull . They were sold to Bennett because they had been failing for years to replace Key Arena. Seattle turned their back on the Sonics when the team sucked after Kemp forced his way out. Nothing shady about what happened in Seattle; they couldn't get an arena so the team was sold to someone who could elsewhere.
