Did NY really think he was gonna be of any help? I thought he was more just insurance for the bigs anyway.
Rasheed Wallace, one of the oldest Knicks on a team filled with veterans, will have season-ending surgery on his injured left foot, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

Looks like New york Knicks luck has arrived right on time this year. The fact that the Knicks really thought signing him out of retirement was a good idea shows just where the Knicks brass really have their heads at.
un-retiring at age 35+ is just a recipe for disaster #askingfortrouble
It was a move that couldn't hurt. He cost them $850,000 and if he could play, it would have been a much bigger reward than the risk and the cost it is now that he can't. That's why they added a bunch of frontcourt depth. Rasheed, Camby, Kurt Thomas, now K-Mart. Especially for what it cost to sign those guys, the depth can prove quite valuable. It's not much different from what the Clippers did by bringing in and signing Odom, Grant Hill, Turiaf, Barnes, Hollins. And I'm sure they like that depth. Depth is a good thing.
Rasheed Knicks jerseys will be worth some bucks in the future
wonder if they're going to use the disabled player exception they're getting for that...
