Why did Sean's last name get starred out from the thread?
Elliott just said that on the pregame show. TP has been a fast healer. If it is 3 weeks, that will be great for him and the Spurs.
He will have an extended break near the end of the season and have enough time to get back in rhythm for the playoffs.
I still think they can hold on to the 1 seed with all the homes games in March. Role players play better at home than on the road and can play above themselves against top teams (Heat, Thunder, Clippers, & Nuggets).
We shall see.
I believe this injury can be a blessing in disguise....if De Colo, Mills, or Joseph can emerge as a legitimate back-up.

Probably spelled Elliott wrong
Thanks Hoops Czar. I did spell his last name with one "T" instead of two "T's".
One note: Elliott said that he ran into Parker after the game and that Parker said three weeks. However, it was after the game and not after the MRI ... so grains of salt and all that jazz.
But, yeah, three weeks would be outstanding. Since Parker is probably the toughest player I've ever seen on the Spurs, I expect him to bounce back as quickly as humanly possible.
Good point, Timvp.
I guess you will have to take it with a grain of salt. However, TP's history of fast healing from injuries has been well do ented. It wouldn't surprise me if returns in 3 weeks.
Parker texted to Olivier Pheulpin (French journalist living in SA) after the MRI "4 weeks but nothing serious".
Good to know the nothing serious part![]()
I played on a grade 2 a fortnight after doing it as a 36yo (it was the grand final, otherwise I wouldn't have bother... and we won! I kept my nemesis, the best scorer in the comp (20ppg), to 5pts, and we won by 1!) and having only 4 rehab sessions, so with intensive rehab and the fact that he's younger and a fast healer, it is plausible that he could be back in 3 weeks. I sincerely hope so.
Spurs broadcast for this game on NBA LP BB. So happy I could![]()
This forum does it automatically, It kept doing it to me one day. I wonder why they blank it out? Is it a bad word? Sean ****** , Sean ******, Sean ******.
pssst, Sean Elliott.
Sean Elliott
I saw Sean speaking in the courtyard before the game. He was talking about overcoming adversity and never giving up. It was very inspiring to me knowing all he's been through. You could tell he really enjoyed talking to the crowd. We are extremely lucky to have a man of Sean Elliott's character as a spokesman and commentator for the Spurs!

Boston played better after Rondo went down. Players rally together in better teams (despite Boston's record they could be dangerous). On the other hand Clippers started losing without CP3 and showed their weak chemistry. Just a thought.
Which is why I've never subscribed to the notion the Clippers are contenders in the West. This team can only go as far as Chris Paul can take them, and the deeper into the post-season he goes, opposing teams will force him out. Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are not going to win even a conference championship.

I say 3 weeks.
Just watching the replay. One minute into the game Sean says: "At least three weeks, possibly a month without TP"...
While Parker has been far and away the best player on the Spurs this season, I definitely think we're lucky that it was Parker that got hurt and not Manu. Parker has proven time and again that hes resilient and about as hardy as they come (Bruce Bowen not withstanding). If this had been Ginobili theres no way he'd be right by playoff time, but I feel confident that if anyone can do it, Tony can.
The fact that the injury isnt serious is enough for me...3 weeks...4 weeks...whatever...chance of losing the #1 seed...maybe is for the best...
^Beast Mode. Good perspective on the injury. Personally, I'd expect him to take 3 weeks plus 3 or games off the bench before returning to the starting lineup.
What happened to Luck_the_Fakers? Now its ********?
