More at http://blog.chron.com/texaspolitics/...es-in-schools/ .No one ever accused Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott of being indirect.
In his latest political ad causing a social media stir, the state’s top lawman tackles two issues central to the state’s conservative base: guns and religion. The ad, posted on Abbott’s Facebook page on Wednesday, features a photo of a handgun next to a Bible.
“Two things every American should know how to use,” it reads. “Neither of which are taught in schools.”
The online spot drew mixed reaction throughout the day from Abbott’s Facebook followers, ranging from the “Can I get an Amen?” from one poster to the incredulity of another who questioned “Have you ever read the Cons ution?”
