LG PLASMA problem
i tried input hdmi cable and the screen just went gsod/psod on me....
how do i fix this?
it wont allow me to select any inputs or go into menu, im stuck at that colored screen and it keeps on flickering...
i tried the power cycle removing all plugs for 5mins and just reattaching the normal input without hdmi cable...still screen of death

Does the menu screen work correctly?
i cant even press the menu screen to pop up
its just those 2 colors
keep on pressing input trying to get a different interface into hd mode, tv mode or whatever input reception
Time to cash in that warranty.
lol first generation plasma man, its about 7-8 yrs old....
warranty is long over...
no point in gettin a technician to come up, cost like 130-150, then u add in parts could be about 80bucks just to replace the pcb board...fck that is about half the price you can pay for a 50inch plasma these days, might as well buy some gimp tv
Probably if it's a color thing. Hard to tell though. Some of these TV's only have two replaceable components, under $100 each. Might check on what the contro9l board costs. You might want to take a gamble, open the back, and... unplug old board, remove screws, put in new board, screw in, plug in... etc.
Or....
Time to buy a new state of the art 3D, LED, etc...
Have you tried a different HDMI? They act stupid after they age a bit..mine was flashing the screen with greens and pinks, and then would display the white snow before it would fix..it started to happen more frequently so I switched it out. No issues since.
