You actually think Sacramento is going to convince the owners to vote against the sale to Hansen? I'd be pretty damn surprised, though I'm rooting for Sacramento on this one.
I feel like Stern hates the Maloofs and doesn't want them to get their way, tbh.... first, he completely embarrassed them at that press conference last year, and now he reveals that Seattle's bid is sealed due to an agreement but the Sacramento group can keep upping their bid....
Seems to me that Sactown could very well keep their team, tbh..... I hope they do, actually, as while I'd like to see Seattle get the Sonics back, it shouldn't be at the cost of another great NBA market and fanbase, tbh...
kings also have a glorious history just like the former sonics and stern would be seeking a new team for sacramento as well, if he deprives this city of the kings. moving the kings to seattle and vacating the capital city of california will be a lateral move, i would be more interested to hear proposals of moving the pelicans to seattle tbh.
