Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell EXCLUSIVE: Bobcats will give Gerald Henderson a qualifying offer, but NOT Byron Mullens.

It's a red flag when a team refuses a qualifying offer to a healthy player.

usually I'd agree, but the bobcats aren't really oozing in great personnel moves

Mullens averaged 10 pts and 6 reb in 26 min last season. Worth a look for the Spurs in my opinion.

His market may be lower than normal. He could work to improve on becoming a better stretch 4/5. He can be good in the paint. But from what I understand of him, he doesn't go down there. He likes to camp out at the 3 point line.

He's a worse rebounder than Splitter and his defense is very poor. No thanks.

If you're not a fan of Matt Bonner then you really are going to hate Byron Mullens.

At least Matt Bonner can shoot. Byron Mullens naively thinks that he can shoot, but he really can't and continues to jack up ill-advised jumpshots. It doesn't help that he doesn't defend or do anything that's useful when he's on the court. Mullens shoots horrible from the field, from 3, and from the free throw line.

Basically he's a terrible basketball player.
