I'm not feeling confident about this one. The Lakers will be honoring Shaq and it is a universal fact that the Mavs have sucked major ass against the Lakers in Los Angeles. Those are two strikes against the Mavs. The Jazz are also playing decent basketball too. That is a 3rd strike. The ghost of Joseph Smith is going to lead the Jazz into 8th seed and ahead of the Mavs and Lakers at the end of the season. That's the likely outcome. Anything can happen but I'm just not that confident.

make or break for Dallas in my eyes. Mavs have won 4 of 5, the Lakers have lost 4 of 6, with their 2 wins coming when Kobe hacked Rubio and when sacto got screw-jobbed against LA per usual. They got to ride the momentum wave to a huge win. it seemed every time they got within a game of the 8 seed they lost a game, like when they choked in the 4th against OKC or when they got romped by Indiana the same night the Lakers lost to the Bucks.
Plus, they want them razors. If the Lakers lose, they'll drop behind Utah in the loss column, and their next 2 games include Memphis and @ Clippers. Even though the Jazz have been winning lately, a Dallas win would keep them within 1 loss of Utah, a loss drops them 2 behind Utah and 2 behind LA and wouldn't have the tiebreaker against either.
