abe lincoln 6'4? is that with him wearing that hat? gtfo man
Turns out Obama is rusty these days. A Kobe-esque 2-22 performance.
That said, who do you pick for the starting lineup on your all-presidential b-ball team?
I've got:
C - Abe Lincoln, 6'4 ; presidential equivalent of David Robinson; long as , defends the paint like he defended the Union
PF - George Washington, 6'2 ; bruiser inside like Karl Malone, but he can create his own shot without having John Stockton to set him up every time
SF - Gerald Ford, 6'0 ; tough choice between Gerald Ford and John Kennedy for SF. Kennedy was a swimmer like TD, but I go with Ford because the dude was a great football player, and held up better than Kennedy over the years since Kennedy had back problems and was disqualified from army service because of them
SG - Barack Obama, 6'0 ; current Obama may be washed up on the court, but prime Obama is a a solid choice at shooting guard
PG - James Madison, 5'4 ; Muggsy Bogues height, but Cons utional framer court vision

Without the hat, 6'4. With it, closer to 6'11 or 7'
You joking? It's pretty common knowledge that Abe was a legit 6'4", which for his time period, was towering. Probably the equivalent of a 6'8" person today.
I'd have William Howard Taft play the enforcer role off the bench. Dat 300lb bully down low in the paint.
Andrew Jackson as my deshawn Stevenson thug
Bill Clinton for the human victory cigar, just don't sniff it.
abe lincoln....will he pull a paul pierce?
since he looks almighty sittin on that chair....
thats according to google...
FDR would probably be the Paul Pierce by default...
Surely Barack Obama has to be in that lineup. He's the only black guy in the presidential pool.
kinda a pity you didnt find ronald reagan a spot on your squad tbh. dude would be a guaranteed fan favorite
No Teddy Roosevelt? TR was tough as they come. Once got shot on the campaign trail and finished his speech. Boxer, cowboy, rough rider... and turned Grizzlies into Teddy bears.... And I'd like to see the ole "Trust buster" go up against Stern.
At the very least he'd bring energy off the bench.

I go with Thomas Jefferson (a wiry 6'2) as my starting SF. The guy was a musician, scientist, architect, politician, religious scholar, farmer, and just about anything else he set his mind to being so it's easy to see him being able to develop a Pippen-esque all around game. Already a step up on Kobe in terms of finding women who can't say no.
You gotta put Van Buren in there as backup PG. The "Little Magician" with ball control wizardry.
