Danny Kaspar comes to Texas State after serving the last 13 seasons as head coach at Stephen F. Austin, where he guided the Lumberjacks to a 246-193 record that included five 20-win seasons in the last six years. He has an overall career record of 465-193 in his 21 seasons as a head coach.

Jeff did a great job, and his number one pick was Danny Kaspar. Gregg Popovich from the San Antonio Spurs is very high on Danny and his coaching abilities, which really helped. No offense to BT, but I wanted Danny when we fired Tim Carter. I knew Kasper was a great coach.
Out of all the interview candidates he was one of my top 3 choices. The other two were Brad Autry and Chis Jans, but Teis pulled the trigger on Kaspar. BTW Kaspar's daughter is a senior at TXST and I hear she is pretty damn attractive.
Kasper is a good hire, no doubt. If Texas State hoops fails, then you can at least take solace in the fact that is the best Texas State is capable of.

Kaspar just got done assembling his staff. Took one coach from SFA, retained one at TXST, and just hired Terrence Rencher (Former UT Player) from SHSU. It's nice to know that TXST is finally not f-ing around and paying the money to get it done. Texas State Athletics has always been pretty decent in all sports except Men's BBall. Lets hope we can make it to the dance in the next 3 years.
