As much as we on the East for being bad, the West this year isn't all that great either. Every time has a major flaw. While the Pacers and Knicks aren't without theirs, they have jack for compe ion (if Miami's Big 3 weren't around). All they'd have to do is beat the other to get to the Finals.

The East is even worse, but if the Bulls had Rose, the East is probably the better conference IMO..

I'm not even convinced the Thunder get to the WCF. I said it a few weeks ago, but it wouldn't surprise me to see any of the West's top 5 teams make it to the Finals. Mind, Denver's chances just took a fatal hit, but the other four can beat each other. I'd of put the Spurs above the rest, but with all their injuries I don't see them getting far. Even if OKC managed to get out of the West, the Knicks would match up pretty well against them especially if they're hitting their 3s. Pacers have the D and personnel to limit the Thunder.

if there wasn't Heat dominating the league, i reckon the championship winner would be a toss-up between SA and OKC, and the finals would be pretty similar to 07'. NY have yet to figured out the right way to agglutinate all the talents they have, and having guys like amare & friendkiller should basically annul their chances to win it.
