This. People always on Durant in here but he's far and away the best player in the league (yes, better than LeBroom) if he gets the chance. Pair him with a pass-first PG like CP3 and he's be beyond unstoppable. It would be blissful to watch tbh.

durant has the talent and can be the best pure scorer the league has ever seen (yes, better than kobe or even MJ in terms of scoring) but he's not nearly the best player overall imho. dude's D is mediocre and his rebound numbers are hilarious for his size, and his lack of strength will always make it impossible for him to settle as a combo forward. in the old years offensive games were paint-oriented, and bigs were the primary scorers more often than not, but in modern basketball the most prolific scorers are mostly perimeter players (like durant himself). durant has the potential to make the top3 of all-time scoring list (which will also depend on his durability though) but it would be beyond his limit to expect much else from him imho
If you just pair Durant with the best pg and top 5 player in the league he would be unstoppable.
