    Eddie Robinson | 32
    Position: F
    Born: 04/19/76
    Height: 6-9 / 2,06
    Weight: 210 lbs. / 95,3 kg.
    College: Central Oklahoma '99

    Info

Here's a guy the Spurs liked a long time ago. Since then, ERob signed a big contract with Chicago and was a huge bust. After the Bulls bought him out, the Knicks signed him but then soon waived him. He's probably the headcase of all headcases in the league.

That being said, he has a prototypical long small forward body. He's very athletic and has all the tools to be an awesome defender. Now that he's getting close to 30, hopefully he could get his head back into the game. He's playing on the Hornets' summer league team, so it seems like he's ready to fight his way back into the league.

Risky move but would have a pretty big reward.

he had an sjax-like quality to him, without all the pesky skills. when the spurs were first high on him he was young. back then i thought being under their system he'd have a chance to turn into something... now i dont know anything about him.

But Pop does like the veterans who have lost their way. He's all about reclamations.

Pass. 4 years ago he was one of my top 2 choices for the starting SF spot on the Spurs (Jack was my other), but luckily the Spurs offer came up short and we got Bruce AND Jack. Maybe it was the injuries in 2001 that did him in. It shows he has no work ethic and I don't want that here.

Actually, it's youngsters who may have lost their way, or solid vets. He's neither.

I can't think of a single player, young or veteran, who is a head case that has been permanently redeemed by playing with the Spurs or under Pop. Can you?

I know you'll say Jax would be under control if he played here, but that's exactly the reason he's not here--because he had no self-control and had a max ego. Just because he didn't go into the stands after fans while a Spur doesn't mean he had mastered his inner demons.
