And you'll understand why he's a future hall-of-famer. During motion plays, he doesn't pass the ball to the man. He passes the ball to where the man will be, and the ball and man arrive at the same spot simultaneously. Watch every other Spur, then watch him. Especially When Mr. Parker does his around-the-world move and comes off the last screen, the ball is already there and he is able to make a seamless move at speed, he doesn't have to pause the 1/2 second waiting for the pass. Now watch when it's not Mr. Ginobili passing the ball, everybody else hesitates, it seems as if they want to pass early, but don't have the nerve to. Once I noticed this, I started watching how he passes during motion plays and it is incredible. He really has a unique court vision, and the nerve to pass the ball ahead of the play. He is able to judge the speed and the path on passes and not pass when the man is open, pass where the man will be WHEN he's open. Really amazing.

This season was a disaster for Manu and passing. Luckily in the playoffs he's been great.

Thats the risk he takes. Plays are executed so that there will be a time where the man will be free and still have time to wait for the pass and still be open.
When manu does that, parker cant make any last min decisions like switching to the base line if the defender cheat on the screens. Thats why sometimes its a nice play, sometimes its a turnover.
