The Warriors surprisingly lead the Nuggets 2-1, and the Clippers-Grizzlies series, tied 2-2, is now mathematically guaranteed to go at least six games.

It's quite plausible that both series with go seven games and the Spurs will sweep the Lakers.

That would be a great deal of time off, and also mean that the Spurs would face fatigued opposition in the WCSF.

the spurs have proven that this isn't the case several times before. we were waiting after our utah sweep last posteason, and the Clippers/Grizzlies went to 7. we came out and swept the clippers as well.

This and the Spurs could rest(more time to Diaw/Splitter heal)

Yeah, rest and healing trumps that "rhythm" TBH.

I think nearly any coach would take the extra rest and time off any day, regardless of the rust factor.

I think this is pretty much what we've all been hoping for. Let's just pray that The Spurs promptly take care of business on Sunday, and be done with this drama "team" already! Can we grab some shovels instead of brooms, BTW!!? Seriously.

Huge sports fan. Huge Texas fan. Not necessarily a huge basketball fan.

since Westbrook can't come back, I don't see the thunder benefiting from rest that much. Sure, they are going to overplay Durant, but he is in his prime and could handle playing almost the whole game for the rest of the playoffs and survive.

The clips/mem series is a tossup. Game 5 is obviously the key. I don't see either team losing a closeout game on their own floor, but it could happen.

GS/Den is harder to predict. The talking heads at espn universally though den should win. Until Lee went down, I thought that missing Gallinari would hurt denver and they might not get past GS. Amazingly, GS is still hanging in there. Both teams are playing even smaller-ball than normal and seem to be enjoying it. Game 4 is huge, because if denver pulls off the upset away from home, which they easily could, that series is likely going 7 given how close the games have been. Otherwise, if den loses game 4, that series could be over sooner than previously thought. If so, I imagine the Spurs/GS series to start with only 3-4 games rest.

hoping the Nuggs get the split tonight @Warriors, pushing them to 7, but DEN has romped all year @home 38-3, and sucked @road 19-22, the only WC team in top 5 with a losing road record.
