Dikembe Mutumbo still needs a ring.
Granted, we'd have to deal with that grizzled-ass voice and his finger wag technicals, but I think he'd be great as a 3rd or 4th big.
Since the Spurs have become the place for multi-year veterans to win rings, i.e. Kevin Willis, T-Mass, I was wondering what Massenburg's status is? I know he's a free agent, but are their any rumblings he might retire? If so, what grizzled veteran should the Spurs look to next to bring over?

We could go after Clifford Robinson, I know the spurs were interested in him a couple of years ago, but I am not sure what type of salary he will be looking for; and he is a unrestricted Free Agent

did he get caught smoking or something, arrested?no went dont need that pot head
I think it would be a good idea to bring Massenburg back, but if that doesn't work out, then Mutombo wouldn't be bad either, especially if Rasho is shipped, or , is Kevin Willis still alive?
T mass - mutombo or kevin Willis all would be good for me.
OR
since we already have a deep frontline of Rasho - nazr - duncan - horry and maybee scola, we might change the old guy with no ring policy to get a prospect.
i think this change will take place because of the new rule about 13th and 14th men going to NBDL. so it is now valuable to bring a prospect more than an old guy.
The question is who? maybee one from summer league...
Actually, come to think of it, Willis got a ring with the Spurs in '03, didn't he? So never mind.
My guess? History. Someone will have to go to make room for Scola, and it will probably be TMass.
They should have used him more in the Finals to send a physical message to the Pistons. He could have come in and thrown some people down they way the Sonics did with our backcourt. Eitherway, I think he is gone.
