Why can't Leonard put up 28/10/8?

Parson's ball handling & play making skills are far above those of Leonard, it also helps that he is so long. Although I believe Leonard may have a higher ceiling, Parsons is the better player at the moment.

EDIT: I remember saying this dude would be a good & people laughed at me, I said the same about Jimmy Butler as well. Funny to see how well these 2 have played.

Yeah, he's the better all around player. Leonard has the edge in athleticism, ceiling, and coaching.

    Kawhi listed at 6'6
    Parsons listed at 6'9

That gives him an instant advantage when it comes to his ability around the rim. It also helps that Parsons has a bigger role on his team, and is heavily relied upon to be a scorer and playmaker every single game. This takes nothing away from him and has accelerated his development compared to Kawhi, which is why he easily has the better all around offensive game right now. It doesn't speak to their respective ceilings or where they will be in 4-5 years, but Parson's is clearly superior offensively right now. He's got the length, motor, and sufficient athleticism to become a menace on the defensive end as well. These 2 guys will both be something to watch at the SF position. Fun battles ahead

    Kawhi is 6'8".

But Parsons probably is slightly better at the moment. Helped by the fact that he is more of a focus in their offense than Kawhi is in the Spurs.

So would anybody trade Kawhi straight up for Parsons right now?

Love both of them, but I doupt any Spurs fan would, while Houston fans at least would think about it.

Well, if Leonard was on a team that was as bad as the Rockets, he would put better stats than with Spurs where the ball is shared among a lot of good/great players.

    Your right, sorry.

According to draftexpress, Leonard is 6'7 in shoes and Parsons is 6'10 in shoes. I never realised Parsons was so tall.

No. Leonard is the better defender IMO also.

sure, we'll go with that. either way, my main point was chandler does have the height advantage by a couple of inches

Because he's in the team that has Duncan, Parker and Ginobili on it.

Yeah, Parsons is kinda like KD in the way that he's PF size but SG skillset.
