Oh....wait....
... and be a young adult (ANYWHERE, ANYTIME), where would you go?
Early 1950s in California for me.
I'll save this thread and answer this question in 10 years from now.
1985.. when I was six.. I'd do everything differently.. Probably invent stuff that wasnt invented till the 90's.
back when socrates was alive in ancient greece
Hunter S. Thompson put it better then I could ever hope to.
I love this day and age, and I've had my fair share of good times.Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Five years later? Six? It seems like a lifetime, or at least a main era - -the kind of peak that never comes again. San Francisco in the middle sixties was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant. There was madness in any direction, at any hour. If not across the Bay, then up the Golden Gate or down 101 to Los Altos or La Honda. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. And that, I think, was the handle - -that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - -on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - -the place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
I just hope that all of my great experiences can hope to amount to half of what it meant to be alive and free during that period in history.
Seattle 1990.
I second that notion.
I'd go back to new york 2001, september 11 about an hour before the planes hit, and call in a bomb threat so that the building would be evacuated.
seattle 1950s
influence hendrix
austin 1970s
see early SRV
o0h, another go0d one. Witness the explosion of Grunge firsthand, from the very heart.![]()
It would also be cool to have been a Bulls fan through the Jordan era, but I'd have to stick that a little lower on the wish list.
November 19, 1992...any where but Cold River Cattle Company.![]()
1982-south texas
so i could kidnap myself from the hospital and then raise myself to be the ultimate mookie
The Gilded Age in America. Born around 1870 would be perfect. That and of course being born in Rome, as long as you weren't a slave....during the height of that empire.
me too, but I would like to go back to my childhood so I could enjoy every minute of it.
That would be pretty damn awesome. Jess' dad was going to UT at that time and got to see acts like the Eagles and Springsteen up close and personal on their first tours. I envy that.
I actually 'been there, done that'. Saw SRV at the old antones before he was who he eventually became...many stories of Austin in the early 70's.
Yeah I'm old...sorta'....
I would like to experience lif in the 60's and especially 70's. However, I would rather have been born recntly then back then, due to the fact that there are more opportunities right now.
Also, if I could be born over again so I could live out my life in a different way, I'd probably want to do that.
Late 70's @ the Hemisfair Arena in San Antonio, Texas.

May of 1865.
Lincoln was buried on May 4, 1865 after which the remaining forces gave up to the damned Yankees. If I could go back, it would all be different.
I use to toss a pig skin a quarter mile. If I could go back, we'd a won state. There ain't no doubt in my mind.
Some people have too much time ...no pun intended.
east africa ~14 mil years ago.
Would it be with today's knowledge?
I would not mind witnessing the middle ages, revolutionary americas, Aztecs(preColombian), Mayans, Incas, Egyptians, Babylonians,
Raising of stonehenge, easter island, colossus of rhodes......... too many eras.
I'd go back to our wedding night so I could re-live the last time we had sex.
