Most overrated and overpaid "superstar" of all time?
The question is does Blake Griffin get angry and improve his game over the offseason, or continue to rely on his athleticism and become Kenyon Martin 2.0.
Not even close.... Joe Johnson has that on lock, tbh....
My MJ bringing them goods, per the usual. That got clippernation still slurping that blake griffin juice.
backdoor sweep
I thought his post game was going to improve, bad it didn't.

Dude is probably one of the most physically gifted players in the league ever; you can't just dismiss that. He's only 24, give him a couple more year, either he'll turn into Dwight 2.0 or be what Dwight was hyped up to be.
Shut up got.
I would cast my vote for Dwight Howard
_wight H_war, tbh.
Yes, Griffin is a mediocre defender. Yes, he's not trustworthy beyond 12 feet (and he shoots too many 3s). But he's got more between the ears than Bible Kemp.
(I still think he can't hold Timmy's jock)
overrated probably but overpaid??? i think Joe Jackass trumps anyone to this tbh
Kenyon Martin was never a superstar, and he knew his role and was one of the better and more versatile defenders at the forward spot in his prime. If Blake continues to rely on his athleticism, he still won't be much like Kenyon Martin. And at least Amare developed a pretty good midrange jumper so after he lost some of his athleticism, he still had that to fall back on to still be able to score. The thing Blake does do well that isn't heavily reliant on athleticism is ball handling and passing. He won't lose that if he loses his athleticism. But he won't be very good if that's all he's doing and he's not running and finishing in transition and getting lobs in the open court and in scramble plays.
He took 28 3 attempts in 80 games this past season. Perhaps he shouldn't shoot any, but to me that's not a lot to take one attempt every 3 games or so. Maybe it seems like he takes more because he's airballed some and those get shown in the sportscenter highlights.
For me, the most overrated superstar in the NBA currently is obviously Derrick Rose. Most overpaid, I agree, is Joe Johnson. The most overrated NBA player of all time is Bill Russell. I know there's a pretty strong divide when it comes to Russell and what people think of him. But to me, his perceived legacy has made him out to be wayyyyyy better a player than he actually was.
Griffin can't be overrated if most fans on his game, tbh..he's on commercials because he's exciting to watch, but fans and writers constantly criticize his game..
Same for Carmelo, Westbrook, etc..a lot of fans don't understand the definition of overrated..
Blake really needs actual coaching to refine his skills, and I agree that ESPN hyped him up too quick, but that's ESPN's fault, not his own, tbh....
Dwight beat LBJ in the playoffs, tbh..
No he won't. He's going to be a content salary leach and continue getting overly appraised for his dunks.
When your PG is the best player on the team, and when your team cannot beat even a subpar team without your star PG, you're not going to be Howard 2.0. You might have bas kids and thump the bible, but you ain't taking no team to the Finals.
And Josh Smith if there's any team foolish enough to give him the max contract he demanded. BG still has sometime until he can be judged fairly for what his worth as a whole.
Still sticking by that its too early to judge him; he still has time to mature and grow.
Your a dumbass tbh..
Irony, tbh![]()
