Will he win 4?
Duncan right now has 3, im 100% he will get to #4, same with #5
but wat about 6 or more. Same with finals MVPs. Im guessing that
if he does win 6 rings, he might not have 6 mvps, cuz manu might
eventually win one himself. Wat are you peoples thoughts on this
Will he win 4?
no doubt, next season
I think that Tim is in great position to win one or two more. (Doesn't mean it's going to happen.) The 6th one, he may win, but perheps not as a franchais player. We may have a great team, but anything may happen.
tru
That should be a vBookie bet!
problem with that is, it will takes years to accomplish this, and i dont know anybody
thats gonna wait years to find out if they won a bet
It's a hypothetical question which requires conjecture which means guessing.
That would nullify the 100% guarantees.
I'm 100% sure he has a chance to win more rings, absolutely.
It would be pretty lopsided in Jordan's favor.
We'd have to wait at least four years for the results
He definetely has the pieces to atleast contend for the trophy till 2010.
Not as lopsided as the number of rings Jordan has compared to Dwade and Garnett have.
hey spursdaone, at least with Duncan we can have this conversation,
with ur garnett ur more likely to see a forum asking will he become the next ewing,
barkley, reggie then if he can reach jordan in les
I see 4 for sure, 5 is possible, but 6 will never happen.
Especially in today's NBA, I just don't see Tony or Manu, or both for that matter, staying for their entire contracts.
If he was going to win 6, they'd have to win the next 3, which would give them 4 in a row, and 5 of 6, and I don't see that happening.
5 is the best bet.
Why does everyone think I like Garnett? I just pick the best players by what I think not by my favorites. I hate Shaq but give him credit he deserves and etc.
Yeah, sure Duncan has an excellent chance to win 3 rings. Whos in our way? Nobody except maybe for the Pistons. And after this offseason Duncan will be refreshed and 100% and will play a much more dominant game. Next year we should have an even better chance to win it all.
why not? He's 29 years old and has a pretty good chance at his fourth in 2006.
this team has a great shot to accomplish a lot over the next few seasons. but, as we well know, anything can happen.
this is precisely why i hate seeing the spurs make deals that are motivated by concerns other than basketball. the franchise has such a rare opportunity to make a lasting mark on the history of the game.
this is no time to be cheap.
With the Big Three locked up for the next 5 years, it's possible. That would also tie the Spurs for third in all time NBA championships with the Bulls, and behind Boston and LA.
where do the spurs rank in all-time franchise winning % in the nba? i thought it was 3rd for the longest time and the last couple of seasons couldn't have hurt that.
Matt - They're still 3rd, but closing the gap. On the nba site, they have the figures thru 2002, and Boston is at .601 (2612-1735). SA is listed at .570 (1196-904). Adding the last three seasons in, Boston is at 2737-1856 for a .595 percentage, and SA is at 1372-974 for a .584 percentage. We're catching them because we're playing ~ .700 ball and they're treading water at ~.500
Duncan will exceed jordan imo, he will get the rings but not numerically![]()
I can't see Duncan win 3 more rings. We're talking about Jordan and Pippen that are capable of dominating but Duncan still has to win 3 more rings.
!!!
What are you talking about Pippen dominating more than Duncan. The Bulls were basically Jordan. Duncan has an excellent shot at winning 3 rings and even better chance than winning a 4th ring first than Shaq will.
I think that Duncan only has 3 to 4 more "superstar" years in him.
If Ginobili can take over the franchise label after that (which will be difficult because he's also almost 30 and takes such a pounding), then we'll see.
