How do you leave Cotton off the list?
You mean when the Spurs Played "Cotton Ball"How do you leave Cotton off the list?
Cotton Fitzsimmons the coach that traded George Gervin?
wheres Tark the Shark?![]()
Still chewing his Towelwheres Tark the Shark?
I voted for Pop.
where's bob bass?
For everyone who is posting "Where's ....?" That's why there's an "Other: " in the choices.
By the way, what the heck is with everyone posting polls lately?
This one is normal. But just so you know, sometimes polls don't apply to your every thought.
Like "Name the top 5 point guards" ... that's not a poll.

Doug Moe...Pop sucks
Let me be the first to say . . . where's Battlin' Bob Hill?
Seriously, also Tom Nissalke?
But Moe gets my vote
![]()
i knew Bob Hill would come up sooner or later
Pop has been a winner, despite all the Pop-doubters out there. He gets my vote. There are a lot of teams with great players in the NBA, but very few great teams. Pop puts the pieces together that work every year. . .on a budget. He drives me nuts with some of his in-game decision making from time to time, but the Spurs would be hard-pressed do find anyone better I think.
Doug Moe would be my second choice. I miss scores being 110-105. . .
. . .after the 3rd quarter.

1. Pop for bringing the les.
2. John Lucas
Remember when the Spurs would Score 125 pts or more everyone in the Arena would get a Free Big MacI miss scores being 110-105
God I loved that fast break ABA style with the red white and blue ball.
Doug Moe was also a lot of fun as a person. George Karl had a million stories about Moe.
I know I should have voted for Pop since he brought us the championship--but Moe could have in our first year in the NBA if the refs hadn't screwed us in Washingto in the last few seconds. He got fined for laying it on the line and the fans took up a collection of pennies to pay it for him.
Everyone is so serious now, fans, coaches and players. In the ABA everyone wanted to win and then go get drunk. Even the refs used to go to a place called Sonny's in the Park after the games.
Halcyon Days!
What? No Rex Hughes?![]()
Doug Moe.
17 replies and no love for my 11-20 record?
Sincerely,
Mo McHone
I liked John Lucas because of his energy. I like Bob Hill, because he could draw up a play. I don't like Pop because he is a piece of .
Thats my opinion.
John Lucas & Bob Hill. Two very successful NBA coaches.
Actually the screw job vs. Washington occured in 79, the Spurs' third year in the NBA.
Their first year, they got swept by the Celtics in the first round. The second year, the Bullets beat them fair and square.
