Jordan is not in that group but Scottie Pippen is? That surprises me!
Have posted this elsewhere, but I think it warrants its own thread:
Upon entering tonight's Game 6, Tim Duncan will become the 7th player in the history of professional basketball to have appeared in 200 or more playoff games, joining Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and Scottie Pippen in that club.
It's a damned impressive accomplishment.
Jordan is not in that group but Scottie Pippen is? That surprises me!
Pippen had 2 years Jordan didnt where he lead the team to near Final runs if not for some bad calls
and he also played in 1999 on some decent teams like the 2000 Trailblazers and that Hakeem/Pippen/Barkley team
Pippen played for a bunch of good teams after the Bulls. Jordan didn't.
And Fisher and Horry stick out like sore thumbs on that list. lol
Fisher and Horry joined good teams......
Fisher and Horry certainly weren't the forces that made those teams potential championship contenders, but there's probably a reason that the two of them were substantial contributors to so many good and great teams throughout their careers (and it's not just a coincidence for either of them).
Magic Johnson and Karl Malone would likely both be on the 200+ games list if the first round series had been a 7 gamer in the 80's and 90's. So, too, would Danny Ainge.
Had Jordan played in 1993-94, he's probably on the 200+ games list, too.
Wow, nice find FromWayDowntown.TD is truly one of the greatest of all time, and that's a damn impressive stat.
And if you limit it to players who accomplished this on only one team, Duncan stands alone. Ultimate badass imnsho![]()
Not really, since Kobe's only ever played for one team.
Oh ya, I overlooked him. In that case, let me amend my statement to players who have only played for one team and have never raped anybody. Now, Duncan's the only one remaining.![]()
To the greatest PF in the history of the game. Win or lose, we can't take for granted these years, or the past ones.
When sigs are back on, I'll try to remember to put this into it.
EDIT: Wait, sigs are turned on. Why can't I put this in my signature? No quotes anymore?
